Case series of gallstone ileus: only enterolitotomy, one stage or two stage surgery?

Biliary ileus is a rare disease and an infrequent cause of intestinal obstruction, occasionally occurs in frail elderly patients has certain predilection for the female sex. The diagnosis complex requires high clinical suspicion complementary examinations such as abdominal radiography contrasted tomography. Treatment should be individualized according to characteristics each patient, with alternatives being resolution only by enterolithotomy, one stage surgery two surgery. We report 3 cases biliary ileus, managed different surgical procedure. decision was aimed at resolving obstruction definitive management performed patient; however, there no consensus or algorithm that recommends ideal technique. recommended procedure will discussed.
